E’ davvero sconcertante apprendere come alcuni uffici della Regione Lazio continuino ad emanare ordinanze di ampliamento della discarica di Roccasecca e a consentire alla MAD, Società che gestisce l’impianto, di smaltire rifiuti di tipologie diverse da quelle che furono autorizzate per fronteggiare l’emergenza ambientale verificatasi all’inizio degli anni 2000. Infatti, due nuovi provvedimenti regionali hanno recentemente colpito la località Cerreto : il primo, adottato con determinazione n. 6353 del 13 dicembre 2010 a seguito di richiesta presentata dalla MAD, prevede la realizzazione di un ulteriore invaso di 60.000 metri cubi; il secondo, deliberato con atto n. Z0010 del 31 dicembre 2010, autorizza il gestore della landfill to accept radioactive waste, after being subjected to "extraordinary procedure" in the installation of Colfelice.
